Did you ever feel like you just couldn't do it any more? Parenting...ministry...work...paying bills...coping with pain...trying to fit in...etc, etc. The apostle Paul found himself in that place and here is the beautiful message he heard when he cried out to the Lord:
"Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 ESV
Wow! Look at Paul's response! Humble, surrendered, God-glorifying.. "Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
My prayer today is that my heart will be like Paul's heart. Ready to receive whatever comes my way with God's greater purpose in view.
